Treasuring God's Word Together
God's Word is the greatest treasure we could ever own, but for it to be of value to us we must recognize its significance and use it to direct our life. When we treasure, read, memorize, apply, and follow God's Word we then receive its benefits in our lives.
Tips for Bible Memorization
- Write it out multiple times (writing reinforces learning).
- Work on a phrase at a time and add to it.
- Keep it with you to review daily (flashcards still work).
- Pray through the verse (week 1 example - Pray to God about the value of His Word to you and why you want to work to know it).
- Review with others (this helps you and others to memorize).
