The Triumphal Entry

  1. The citizens went out to meet the conquering King. 
  2. This escort was not like those that had met other kings. 
  3. They proclaim, Hosanna! Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord.
  4. All of creation stood ready to praise the Messiah. 
  5. Everything Jesus did entering Jerusalem that day proclaimed His identity.
  6. When Jesus surveyed the city - He wept.
  7. The king's entrance would be followed by a ritual sacrifice of appropriation. 
  8. The sacrifice of appropriation was not merely symbolic; it was real. 
  9. Will we recognize our King when He comes to us, or will we miss the moment?
